Job Description

The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for promoting physical fitness, motor skills, discipline, and healthy lifestyle habits among students. The teacher will conduct age-appropriate physical activities in line with CBSE guidelines and contribute to the holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct physical education classes for Primary students Teach basic physical skills, exercises, yoga, drills, and simple games. Promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Ensure student safety during all physical activities and sports sessions. Conduct warm-up and cool-down exercises to prevent injuries. Identify and nurture students' interest and talent in sports. Prepare students for school sports events, Annual Sports Day, and inter-house competitions. Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Keep records of student participation and assessment as per CBSE co-scholastic norms. Ensure proper care and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities. Coordinate with class teachers and sports staff for school activities. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development programmes. Uphold school rules, child safety norms, and institutional values.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

B.P.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution Knowledge of child development and physical education pedagogy

Experience:

3+ years of teaching/coaching experience in Primary classes (CBSE preferred)
