Job Description

Ensure Identification, Enrollment, Assessments and develop IEPs for all the identified children with all Disability.
Prepare plan and methodology for each child as per his/her ability/need and introduce alternative learning if necessary to ensure learning among CwSN.
To conduct community surveys as and when required
Coordinate with Therapist for the fitment of Mobility aids & appliances and Assistive Devices for the required CwSN.
Closely work with all the teachers of the Selective schools and Block and ensure the disabled friendly environment Ensure periodical reassessments to check the progress of CwSN and record the same.
Support parents to access the available social entitlement and other benefits.
Ensure regular Goonjan entries, master list / consolidate data, reports and case studies in time and submit to Coordinator.
Organise and coordinate Capacity building for parents, teachers, peers and other relevant stakeholders.
Work to develop required Teaching Learning Materials and other resources for the program.
Actively contribute in weekly, monthly and quarterly review meetings and update the challenges, support from the Coordinator.
Work with Education Department particularly with the educational rights of CwSN under the guidance of Coordinator and Manager- District Education.

  • Collaborating with Education Department to set up the Src in Blocks
  • Meeting the Outcome and indicators of the program in selective Blocks
  • Track and review the progress of Children through preparing monthly Goals
  • Role and Responsibilities will be discussed on the basis of Donor commitment.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
RCI Certification in Special Education (Desirable).
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in working with Children with Special Needs (CwSN).
Hands-on experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Experience in working with schools, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders on inclusive education programs.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices, child rights, and disability laws.
Ability to assess, prepare, and implement plans tailored to the needs of children with disabilities.
Proficiency in coordinating with therapists for mobility aids, assistive devices, and rehabilitation.
Good facilitation skills to organize training and capacity-building programs.
Competence in documentation: data consolidation, report writing, and case study development.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work with government departments, teachers, and parents.
Ability to monitor progress, set monthly goals, and track outcome indicators.
Familiarity with digital platforms (like Goonjan) for data entry and reporting.
Other Requirements
Commitment to work in field areas, including selective blocks and schools.
Willingness to travel within the district/blocks for program implementation.
Flexibility to adapt roles based on donor commitments and programmatic needs.
Strong motivation to work towards inclusion and empowerment of CwSN.
