Role Purpose: The role holder will be a member of the Transaction Co-Ordinator Group and will report directly into the SME Lead for the O&A Business in London. As a KYC / research SME, the key outcomes in appointing this position are: To improve the quality of risk analysis and research that takes place within the TCG function Ensure risk is at the forefront of what we. The aim to ensure all risk elements of the file are captured at the initiation phase Significantly improve quality of initial file review, reducing looping and late identification of risk Create a depth of subject matter expertise in all areas of KYC and Change based on output of weekly analysis. They will act as a link to the change, Policy and Risk functions to ensure all of the operational requirements are aligned and properly supported. The front to back knowledge of a on boarding function globally is critical for this role. Using Business Sponsorship forms to identify key data points Identify and monitor risk though comprehensive use of research tooling and analysis of those findings. Present a risk assessment back to the lead Transaction Co-ordinator. The RI analyst will need to explain and present risk either identified or highlighted through the case initiation process. Support the team in their proactive management and governance of the day-to-day pipeline across the UK on boarding function, remove blockers and issues using SME knowledge. Close alignment with policy and change programs to proactively resolve and drive change to improve overall turnaround times across NCA. This should always be in line with our Quality objectives. Drive change into the operational teams through a strong understanding of the policy / business / operational landscape Your skills and experience Extensive banking/financial services experience, including KYC to a high level. Detailed and deep understanding of KYC and how the processes align with product and business strategy. Ability to use research tooling, analyze and simplify complex documents and policies. Understanding of Control, Compliance and Investigation functions in the banking industry and of the end-to-end KYC and client onboarding processes Understanding of the front to back on boarding function. Experience of working in offshore locations across NCA and PR SME knowledge of Markets / CF business lines. Evidencing a clear understanding of how KYC policies influence those product areas.
