Diamond Lab Technician
Job Description
The Diamond Grading Lab Technician is responsible for providing accurate diamond grading and analysis services, as well as maintaining the highest standard of quality control in the laboratory.
Responsibilities:
• Grade loose diamonds according to industry standards and specifications.
• Utilize precision instruments to measure carat weight, clarity, color, symmetry and measurements of each stone.
• Document all diamond grading and analysis results.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Follow established procedures for handling loose diamonds.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines when operating laboratory equipment.
• Assist with additional laboratory tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• 0-1 year of experience in diamond grading or related field.
• Knowledge of the 4Cs of diamond grading (clarity, color, cut and carat).
• Ability to operate complex laboratory equipment with accuracy and precision.
