POSITION SUMMARY

The Tax Manager will lead complex tax engagements, manage staff workflows and deliverables, develop internal talent, oversee the preparation of complex tax returns, and provide tax research and planning services to a diverse client base.

Plan, manage, and supervise the totality of tax engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable tax law, client satisfaction, and adherence to time and budgetary constraints from initial planning to final document/return preparation for review. Strong technical expertise in a 1040's, 1041's, Business returns, flow through entities, S-Corps etc. Review and manage complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage communication with the IRS and state agencies regarding audits, inquiries, and tax notices on behalf of clients, as assigned. Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns; oversee complex tax compliance and consulting projects requiring research and analysis. Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability. Prepare monthly invoices for clients, as assigned. Participate in the firm's practice development efforts by recognizing opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and developing new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm. Communicate with the client, their attorneys, bankers, auditors, and other third parties, disseminating information in an appropriate and timely manner. Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates. Manage project financials, including budgets, timely billing and collection, as applicable. Serve as a People Manager. Take an active role in professional, business or community organizations. Make productive use of non-billable time by actively contributing to firm committees, participating in training initiatives, and engaging in activities that foster the overall growth and development of the team and firm. Meet chargeable hour goals while consistently meeting engagement budgets. Increased knowledge surrounding the relevant rules, regulations and laws that govern tax at a local, state and federal level. Chargeable hours expectations will be 1200-1400 hours Live the firm's mission, REAL Values, and The CSH Way. Other duties as assigned. This is an office-based role in our Mumbai office (Goregaon).

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to effectively manage teams in person and in a remote setting. Proficient in maintaining a professional appearance during remote work, including being visible on camera as needed for internal and client meetings. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate strong execution and decision-making skills. Exhibit strong research ability. Strong organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities to meet all deadlines and commitments. Ability to develop excellent relationships with clients, meeting their expectations. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Required:Professional certification such as CA or CPA Relevant work experience. 6+ years of US Tax experience, public accounting experience preferred.

Preferred:
Prior supervisory experience preferred. Enrolled Agent (EA) along with CA/CPA.

WORKING CONDITIONS


Works in assigned office area * Will work beyond normal working hours and on weekends when necessary.
