Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate, individual, and other tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Support the tax team in collecting and organizing financial data for audits and tax reporting.
Maintain accurate records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
Research tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
Help prepare supporting documentation for tax audits and respond to tax authority queries.
Process tax payments and monitor deadlines to avoid penalties.
Perform reconciliations related to tax accounts (VAT, withholding, corporate income tax, etc.).
Assist in preparing reports and summaries for management and external auditors.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions.
Handle general administrative duties within the finance/tax department.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.
[1-3] years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles (fresh graduates may be considered).
Basic understanding of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with VAT, corporate tax, and payroll tax compliance.
Familiarity with electronic tax filing systems and government tax portals.
Pursuing or holding a certification such as CA, ACCA, or CMA is an advantage.
