Responsibilities:
Display a good level of understanding of moderate and advanced tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns, and continuously enhance tax knowledge for associates and advanced associates through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
Ensure to have exceptional quality and ensure timely delivery of tasks assigned to their team.
Train and mentor associates and advanced associates.
Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements, update the team with additional research and position taken on the returns.
Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with the teams in India and in the US.
Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Should be able to manage and lead a team and the team's workflow effectively with minimal assistance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in US Corporate taxation
Should be an active Enrolled Agent (EA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching/mentoring abilities.
Worked on US business tax returns (1065/1120/1120F) with complex situations and worked on special allocations, M3 adjustments like prepaid expenses and accruals, provisioning and estimate calculations.
Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8621 and 1118, consolidated corporate tax returns and combined state returns.
Hands-on experience with GILTI and Subpart F income calculations, including PTEP tracking and distributions.
* Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. tax rules, including cross-border transactions, for-eign tax credit analysis, and international information return filings.
