The US Non-Income based Tax (NIBT) team is seeking detail-oriented Tax Analysts specializing in US non-income-based taxes including Sales & Use Tax/ Property Tax/ Business License Tax and other Non-Income Taxes. This role is critical in supporting audit activities and ensuring tax compliance by collaborating closely with internal teams and external auditors to maintain tax accuracy and proper documentation.
The analyst will be responsible for gathering and analysing audit data in response to Information Document Requests (IDRs), proposed adjustments, and inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities. In addition, the role includes maintaining and updating audit files such as status reports, IDR and adjustment logs, statute extensions, and audit binders. Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and effective time management are essential in managing audit documentation and meeting audit deadlines.
The Tax Analyst will also generate customized reports and perform detailed validations of sales, expenses, fixed assets, and accounts payable data. They will support state and local tax audits by assisting with return reviews, account reconciliations, and resolving audit-related issues. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools to effectively manage and interpret large datasets.
