Location: India, Bangalore
Business Unit: Buildings
Reports to: BIM Manager
Arup is seeking an experienced Task Team Senior Mechanical to join our growing team in
Bangalore, India. This candidate will be responsible for leading the design development,
coordination, and management of Electrical design models across all project stages. This role
ensures Electrical systems are accurately modelled, coordinated with other disciplines, and
compliant with client and project standards. This person works closely with Electrical
engineers, BIM Managers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality and data rich models to support design delivery.
The ideal candidate would be a design-led, three-dimensional thinker who places creativity and
spatial problem-solving at the heart of their approach - with BIM capability as a supporting
skill, not the driver.
This individual must be able to interpret and draw information into the model in a technically
sound, engineering-led manner, using the model as both a design coordination tool and a
powerful medium of communication.
The ideal candidate will serve as a design integrator -someone who can think in 3D, proactively
identify and resolve technical coordination challenges, and lead strategic planning discussions
before modelling begins. They will be instrumental in bringing engineers together to define
strategies, establish design intent, and enable seamless coordination across disciplines,
ensuring that modelling is efficient, integrated, and robust from the outset.
