Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis 3 for our Tandoor section. The role involves assisting senior chefs in preparing traditional tandoori dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring smooth operations in the tandoor area. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to build a career in Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of tandoori items such as naan, roti, kebabs, tikkas, and other clay oven specialties. Help with marination, skewering, and mise en place as directed by the CDP or Sous Chef. Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor area and ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly. Follow kitchen SOPs and food safety standards. Support the kitchen team in other sections as needed. Learn and adapt to kitchen operations and recipes under the guidance of senior chefs. Ensure minimal wastage and proper storage of ingredients.

Qualifications and Skills:

Basic knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques and Indian spices (preferred). Prior experience or training in an Indian kitchen is an advantage. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen. Basic understanding of hygiene and safety protocols.

Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working near high heat (tandoor oven). Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
