, you will support the Tandoor Chef and culinary team in preparing and cooking tandoori dishes such as kebabs, naan, roti, and marinated meats. This role requires a basic understanding of traditional tandoor techniques, spice blends, and hygiene standards. You'll assist in maintaining the tandoor, ensuring ingredient preparation, and delivering consistent quality in all dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of tandoori dishes under the supervision of the Tandoor Chef.
Prepare marinades, skew meats, and shape doughs for naan and roti.
Ensure proper heating and cleaning of the tandoor oven.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tandoor station.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Ensure consistency in food taste, quality, and presentation.
Monitor ingredient inventory and notify superiors of shortages.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of tandoor cooking and Indian spices.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to work in a hot environment around open flames.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen brigade.
