This role requires strong technique, speed, consistency, and creativity while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality.
Prepare and cook tandoori items including breads (naan, roti, kulcha), kebabs, grills, and signature dishes.
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and effectively.
Ensure proper marination, portioning, and mise-en-place for all tandoor preparations.
Monitor cooking temperatures and timings to deliver consistent taste and texture.
Maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and follow all food safety guidelines.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new tandoori dishes or improvements.
Manage inventory related to tandoor section and ensure minimal wastage.
Uphold company standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
