Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
Marinate meats and vegetables as per recipes and portion guidelines.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation before serving.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tandoor station and kitchen area.
Work closely with kitchen staff and follow instructions from senior chefs.
Assist in menu planning, portion control, and inventory management.
Follow food safety standards and hotel operating procedures at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar role in Indian cuisine.
In-depth knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques and traditional recipes.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
