Skillfully prepare and cook traditional North Indian tandoori dishes such as kebabs, tandoori breads (naan, roti), and various marinated meats and vegetables.
Ensure proper cooking techniques for perfect tandoor flavors and textures.
Menu Development & Specials:
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create new tandoor-based menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
Recommend and contribute to daily or weekly special dishes.
Quality Control:
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and tandoor section.
Consistently monitor and control portion sizes, garnishes, and presentation.
Marination & Ingredient Preparation:
Oversee the preparation of marinades and spice blends for meats, fish, and vegetables, ensuring consistency in flavor.
Monitor inventory levels of tandoori spices, herbs, and other essentials, and ensure proper storage.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders.
Assist in training junior chefs and kitchen staff in tandoor cooking techniques.
Maintain Equipment & Tools:
Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of the tandoor and other kitchen equipment.
Report any damage or need for repairs to the kitchen manager.
