A Tally Operator manages daily financial tasks using Tally software, focusing on accurate data entry (sales, purchases, receipts, payments), generating financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), handling GST/TDS, reconciling accounts, managing basic inventory, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards for internal and external reporting. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in Tally & Excel, and keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

Data Entry: Accurately record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries) in Tally. Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate P&L, Balance Sheets, Trial Balances, and Cash Flow Statements. Account Reconciliation: Match company records with bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Taxation: Handle GST, TDS entries, and generate tax-related reports. Billing & Invoicing: Create invoices, manage debit/credit notes, and track payments. Inventory Management: Track stock movements and update inventory levels. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Compliance: Ensure all financial records adhere to accounting principles and regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications

Software: Proficiency in Tally ERP & MS Excel. Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws (GST/TDS). Skills: Data entry, attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and analytical skills. Education: Often a B.Com, Diploma in Accounting, or relevant certification.
