Job Description

A Tally operator's job entails using Tally ERP software to manage financial data, record transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Here's a more detailed breakdown of a Tally operator's responsibilities:Core Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Management:

Accurately record financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, etc.) in Tally. Maintain and update ledgers, including accounts payable and receivable. Ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Report Generation:

Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate reports for tax compliance (GST, TDS, etc.).

Accounting and Financial Tasks:

Process invoices, sales transactions, and reconciliations. Handle petty cash and bank reconciliations. Assist in preparing budget forecasts.

Tax Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns (GST, TDS, etc.).

Other Duties:

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Assist in audits and financial investigations. Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.
Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Tally ERP software
