The Talent Acquisition Executive / AM will manage the recruitment lifecycle for various roles within the shipping and logistics domain. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates while ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies. The role requires strong networking skills, knowledge of maritime/shipping operations, and the ability to align talent strategies with business needs
Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Planning & Strategy
Collaborate with department heads (operations, logistics, HR, finance, etc) to understand manpower requirements.
Develop recruitment strategies tailored to the shipping industry's unique needs.
b) Talent Sourcing & Recruitment
Source candidates through job portals, social media, and campus drives.
Source exact talent matching the exact needs for the role or position.
Screen resumes and conduct preliminary interviews to assess suitability.
Coordinate technical and HR interviews with hiring managers.
Ensure that the candidate joins as per the TAT.
Employer Branding
Promote the organization as an employer of choice in the shipping industry.
Build strong talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with consultants, recruitment partners, and internal teams.
Provide regular updates to management on recruitment status and challenges.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
shipping/manufacturing/port industry roles
(e.g., port operations, freight forwarding, marine engineering).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
Familiarity with HR software and ATS systems.
Understanding of
labor laws and compliance requirements
in the shipping/manufacturing/port sector.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
3-7 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in shipping/manufacturing/port sector.
Exposure to bulk hiring, technical recruitment, and senior-level placements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications (CTC in the range of 4 to 7 Lacs)
