Position Summary:
The Associate in the MSPBNA Tailored Lending Business Control Unit (BCU) serves as a key member of an embedded risk team within the Lending Businesses. This role is responsible for supporting and collaborating with the TL Lending Business COO team in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and reporting operational risks, while enabling consistent execution of risk management practices across the Banks. The Associate will work closely with business owners to ensure accountability for risks created within their respective lines.
Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Manage the Access Management process for Tailored Lending and support the buildout for the other lending products.
• Serve as point person for all entitlement approvals and inquiries
• Monitor and perform ongoing entitlement reviews for various applications and systems
• Continuously improving the Enterprise role entitlements to ensure consistency and safekeeping of client information.
• Maintenance of operational risk metrics, including analysis and development of new metrics.
• Produce management reporting materials and prepare for monthly risk meetings.
• Perform data analysis and produce Excel reporting as needed.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of risk governance procedures.
• Produce, review, and manage procedure documents.
• Maintain dual reporting structures to reinforce business accountability for risk.
• Support execution across various Operational Risk frameworks in accordance with Firm and US Bank requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk standards.
• Build product and system expertise in Tailored Lending.
• Participate in Lending cross-product risk initiatives, ensuring alignment with firm-wide programs.
• Identify risk prevention opportunities within business processes and partner with BU to manage operational risks.
• Support the creation and maintenance of process flows for lending business processes.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Master's/Bachelor's Degree (in Finance or Economics) required;
• Minimum 3-6 years' experience in financial services, private banking and lending and/or operational risk management
• Ability to evaluate processes, identify risks, and design mitigating controls.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS)
• Strong relationship-building with both business users and risk partners.
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment with dual reporting lines.
• Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to create executive summaries and risk assessments.
• Ability to improve risk management behaviors.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of working across organizational boundaries.
• Proficient in creating Business Process Flows.
• Confident, proactive, and independent self-starter.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong Project Management and execution skills.
