Tailor Master / Senior Tailor

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tailor Master with strong expertise in garment construction, alterations, and custom fittings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent knowledge of fabrics, and the ability to lead tailoring operations while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Take precise body measurements and provide expert fitting guidance to customers. Cut, stitch, and finish garments with accuracy according to design, style, or alteration requirements. Supervise and guide junior tailors, pattern makers, and helpers in daily tasks. Handle different types of fabrics (silk, cotton, linen, wool, denim, blended materials, etc.). Create, adjust, and interpret garment patterns as per client requirements. Perform alterations, repairs, and custom modifications to garments. Maintain tailoring equipment and ensure proper use of sewing machines, irons, and tools. Ensure timely delivery of garments with high-quality finishing.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Master Tailor in a boutique, fashion house, or tailoring unit. Strong knowledge of garment construction, stitching techniques, and pattern making. Ability to work with traditional and modern tailoring machines. Excellent finishing skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership skills to train and supervise other tailors. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Collaborate with designers, boutique staff, or clients for bespoke clothing. Keep up to date with fashion trends, stitching techniques, and finishing styles.
