• Minimum ten (10) years of recent lead and hands-on experience in TABLEAU development, UAT and production environments in a large financial institution
• Extensive hands-on experience with TABLEAU Server
• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Financial Industry experience is a plus
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills; strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of ETL techniques, tools, and processes
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in using tools to optimize database performance. TABLEAU server is a must
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data analysis and processing is a plus
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud architecture, AWS, Jenkins, and deployment processes is a plus

• TABLEAU server Engineering and support role in a large financial environment
• Architect, design, support, upgrade and configure Tableau Server platform
• Deep knowledge of single server and multi node cluster setup
• Focus on high availability and performance efficient design
• Extensive Tableau Experience in an Enterprise Environment, providing operational support, performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Design, architect and implement new and existing TABLEAU Server instances for scalability and reliability
• Work in a technical leadership role with other IT towers to develop and adopt a comprehensive TABLEAU implementation strategy
• Optimize TABLEAU platform performance
• Support production and development Business Intelligence instances
• Understand the role of reporting and business intelligence tools and its integration points with the application and be able to advise on troubleshooting avenues during production troubleshooting bridges
• Working knowledge of VMware, hands on experience working with with server performance tuning
• Develop custom alerts and performance metrics for reporting jobs
• Create scripting (Powershell, Python) for automation for DEV/QA/PROD data migration and for many other types of tasks
• Perform latency troubleshooting, job run analysis and platform management
• Working knowledge of SRE and system administration activities
• Solution and architect the enterprise Disaster Recovery and High Availability strategy to protect client database environments
• Knowledge of AWS based tableau implementations is preferred
• Troubleshoot latency, resource contention, and utilization problems during batch cycles
• Optimize TABLEAU for optimum performance by latency issues query plans
• Upgrade of critical production TABLEAU environment, working with Vendors and architects to execute large scale enterprise TABLEAU upgrades
• Be very proficient with monitoring tools, both off the shelf and home grown scripts, be adept in forensic data collection and working with the vendor on severity 1 problems
• Analyze severity 1 issues for inefficiencies to improve performance
• Be able to advice on performance tuning metrics as suggested by Tableau best practices
• Assist the team in various phases of development, including design, implementation, integration, revision control, release and the maintenance of multiple Tableau products and systems
• Perform impact analysis of application changes performed that impact Tableau performance
• Maintain documentation of business and functional requirements using confluence and Jira.
