Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester with expertise in API/Web/Database testing and detail-oriented Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, demonstrating a strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining test cases for web applications, Database and APIs, ensuring the highest quality of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:

• Test Case Design & Execution: Develop and execute detailed test cases based on software requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Functional & Regression Testing: Perform functional testing of applications to ensure they meet business requirements. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new releases.
• Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc., and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Collaboration with Development & Product Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements, review user stories, and provide feedback on test cases.
• Test Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.
• Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing: Perform testing on different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility and consistent user experience.
• Test Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular test progress reports, track testing metrics, and highlight potential risks or quality concerns to the management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
• Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Bug Tracking Tools: Proficient in using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, or similar.
• Test Documentation: Experience in creating and maintaining detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports.
• Agile/Scrum Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify subtle defects and inconsistencies in software.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Database Testing: Basic knowledge of SQL for validating data and performing database testing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and provide valuable insights.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Automation Knowledge: Basic understanding of test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, etc.) is a plus.
• Cross-Platform Testing: Experience with cross-browser and mobile testing is a plus.
• Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter (optional).
• Certifications: ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or similar is preferred.

BE/B Tech
Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a test engineer.
Base Location: Noida, but flexible to travel.
Specialization Description
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
