Responsibilities About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer to join the Payment, Treasury Payment and Customer Care Technology (PTCT) Commercial, Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) Platform team. As a member of this technology team, you will be supporting the Banks technical systems and applications responsible for financial instrument transmission and messaging in Production for 24x7 operation, as well as lower environments. You will have the opportunity and experience to work with various products such as Oracle, MongoDB, Linux, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Zookeeper, Kafka, Ansible, Grafana, Splunk, Elasticsearch, ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics and ServiceNow

In this role, you will:
5 years of total experience in production support. Provide technical systems support for issues and initiatives related to applications, systems, databases, and other technical products and services within Systems Operations business area across development, integration, test, production and BCP environments.
Perform standard IT Service Management functions related to incident, problem, change and service delivery in line with ITIL practices and company standards.
Previous experience working with some or all of the following technologies: MondoDB, Linux, MQ & RabbitMQ, Zookeeper and Kafka
Perform application and environment maintenance, monitoring, reporting and analysis tasks to drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided.

Support installation, configuration, deployment, patching and enhancements of platform components following defined procedures and controls.
Troubleshoot issues and perform recovery actions as appropriate, including BCP failover procedures, application restarts etc.
Evaluate or review queries, create and update documentation and procedures, and provide related technical training
Provide technical information of the supported system area to managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal customers
These roles support live systems 24x7 so Regular Weekend coverage is scheduled within a normal 40 hour working week
Identify and deliver improvement, automation, and elimination opportunities as a regular output of analysis and standard working practices leveraging standard
Proven delivery of Automation solutions in a DevOps or SRE type environment

Required Qualifications, International:
5 years of Experience in Systems Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in a regulated industry using ITIL Service Management framework, or similar
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
Previous experience working with some or all of the following technologies: MondoDB

MQ & RabbitMQ
Zookeeper
Kafka

Job Expectations:
Ability to work outside of regular business hours as part of a globally dispersed support team covering 24x7
Ability to work independently on call as assigned
