The purpose of the role is to service and install across a large variety of industrial solutions, provide the support to service sales and internal technical communication forums, responsible for small project implementation. The work is diverse and challenging. Work typically involves specialization into 24x7 technical support of a Honeywell solution as a product champion for either / or DCS, SCADA, Safety systems, advanced software applications.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Remote Technical support for Honeywell systems installed on LNG carriers 24x7
On-site Preventive and corrective maintenance of Honeywell systems on LNG carriers as per designated plan.
Perform regular checks of LNG Carrier for System health and Report any anomalies observed
Resolve queries/defects reported or observed and send a comprehensive report of action taken.
Implement Control Systems projects, typically using Honeywell controller and supervisory systems, and/or third party PLC controllers
Implement projects using Honeywell Tools and processes, provide input for constant improvement of processes
Maintain, install and service Industrial control equipment on a variety of industrial sites
Familiarity with wide variety of industrial plants and applications as applicable to control systems
Providing technical support to peers, which may include other technical representatives, Account Managers, Project Engineers etc.
To keep abreast of site and customer needs by continued development of customer relationships
Assist customer in designing and implementing control systems utilizing Honeywell automation systems.
Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and quality assurance information as required by team leader.
Utilize more complex diagnostic procedures, specialized test equipment or software packages for problem resolution.
Anticipates customer's future needs and provides solutions. Takes action to improve customer satisfaction.
Identify and communicate sales and service opportunities and contribute to contract business development
Can complete higher level tasks independently
Provides product technical expertise to the team through liaison with global technical assistance center.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in technical discipline (Automation, Instrumentation, Electronic, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering) and a minimum of 5 years + of related experience
Experience
Experience with direct customer contact.
Experience with Experion PKS or TPS maintenance or project implementation.
Experience in various process control markets.
Background in all aspects of Industrial control systems implementation, including: DCS and SCADA systems, PLC configuration and programming, industrial networks
Demonstrated higher level S/W language experience
Experience working with a contractor
Professional Skills / Knowledge
A knowledge of Honeywell's hardware and software capabilities is highly advantageous
Additional skills in the areas of SCADA systems radio communications, database interfacing and web design also desirable
Excellent Communication skills (oral and written) in English. The ability to communicate complex issues concisely and with clarity.
Exceptional PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft software.
