Job Description

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

We are looking for a motivated Systems Development Engineer who is ready to take telecommunications to the next level. For this position, we require a strong coding skill set, detailed knowledge of software development best practices, depth in Linux operating systems and networking. You\xe2\x80\x99ll play a key role in architecting, designing, supporting, and enhancing our AWS-based telecommunications infrastructure. You\xe2\x80\x99ll use and touch a wide range of technologies and systems, including products that we\xe2\x80\x99ve built from the ground up and commercial products. You\xe2\x80\x99ll help junior engineers develop their skills, and continue to raise the bar building for the future of Amazon. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will build a next generation telephony platform for Internal Amazon, enable self-healing for our systems, and provide self-service tools that enable Amazonians to manage their own personal telecom resources. You will use AWS products, DevOps patterns, and mature CICD processes to build a cloud-scale Telephony system. You will have the opportunity to be creative in a space that has not seen innovation in decades.

• Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
