Job Description


System Architect - PowerDrive Systems BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for experienced and enthusiastic professionals in the areas of System Architecture & Requirements Management. The System Architect is a key role with the systems engineering team, delivering integrated hybrid and electrified vehicle solutions. System Architect contributes towards System Architecture and Requirements Management of BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems products. Responsibilities . Develops System Architecture for automotive solutions such as Inverter, E-motor, integrated hybrid and electric transmission systems. . Collaborates with Functional teams (Controls, Modelling, Functional Safety etc..) on architecture, requirements allocation and traceability. . Supports as feature owner. . Defines and documents assumptions and constraints . Documents the requirements captured from Stakeholders and allocates to appropriate components/subsystems . Ensures traceability and consistency of requirements to system and sub-system . Ensures all the safety & security standards and it\'s implications on System are well captured . Supports reviewing and approving system requirements, related to architecture. . Works with the system integrator to ensure defined interfaces test coverage . Establishes best practices and standards in Requirements Engineering activities such as Requirements documentation, allocation, traceability and System Architecture . Represent the BorgWarner Technical Centre India in Global forums for Process adherence and enhancements. . Mentors and trains new hires in team on ASPICE, PowerDrive Systems and Requirements Engineering. Basic Qualifications . Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Mechanical discipline . 6+ years working in a systems engineering role, using model based / SysML tools for architecture development eg. Sparx EA, IBM Rhapsody, ANSYS Scade etc . Good understanding of Electrified Propulsion Systems from Automotive/Locomotive/Aerospace domains . Lead several process initiatives in Systems Engineering functional areas . ASPICE and ISO26262 process awareness and experience working within a role based, process driven culture. . Product development experience, delivering production ready engineering solutions to customers. Preferred Experience . Experience using task management tools eg. JIRA, IBM RTC . Use of industry standard requirements management tools eg. Polarion, IBM DNG, MKS . Prior automotive experience being part of a full product development lifecycle .
