Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Developer within DAZN's Technology Management team, DAZN is seeking a talented, The Node.JS & AWS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using Node.JS, API's and AWS technologies.Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using

Node.js

and

JavaScript

. Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance

AWS cloud solutions

. Work with AWS services such as

Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, CloudFront, CloudWatch

, and others. Build and maintain

serverless

applications and

microservices-based

architectures. Implement

DevOps best practices

, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation. Develop infrastructure-as-code templates using AWS tools like CloudFormation or CDK. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Design. Participate in the

Agile/Scrum

process--attend stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolutions. Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and industry best practices.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science

, Engineering, or related field. 5

+ years

of professional experience in backend development using

Node.js

. Strong proficiency in

JavaScript

from a backend perspective. Hands-on experience with key

AWS services

: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch. Experience in

serverless computing

microservices architecture

, and

containerization

. Understanding of

DevOps tools

, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in a

Scrum

environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
