Job Description

The SAN Storage Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and data protection. This role involves administering SAN and NAS environments, monitoring storage utilization, implementing best practices, and supporting backup and disaster recovery operations.


Key Responsibilities:



Design, configure, and manage SAN storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage, NetApp).


Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and data replication.


Manage zoning, LUN provisioning, and fabric configurations across storage arrays.


Perform routine health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management.


Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.


Collaborate with server, virtualization, and database teams for storage provisioning and troubleshooting.


Maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and standards.


Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data retention policies.


Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


3-7 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise SAN environments.


Strong knowledge of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, zoning, and multipathing.


Experience with storage platforms such as

Dell PowerMax/VMAX

,

HPE 3PAR/Primera

,

Pure Storage

, or

NetApp

.


Familiarity with backup technologies (e.g., Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, or Veeam).


Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.


Strong communication and documentation abilities.


Preferred Certifications:



Dell EMC Storage Administrator (EMCSA)


HPE ASE - Storage Solutions Architect


Pure Storage Certified Implementation Professional


Brocade or Cisco SAN certificationdevelop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.



Provide support to internal users of Oracle Applications and legacy applications and ensure maximum efficiency in the use of those applications. Respond to requests for support by users. Test and coordinate testing of new releases of Oracle Applications. Log bugs against applications and follow up with IT and Development. Monitor future applications releases. Train users on features of applications. Maintain applications responsibilities based on work group of user. Act as reporting resource. Represent users at Data Center meetings, user meetings at quarter end and whenever necessary.




Responsibilities

Support backup and restore operations in coordination with backup administrators.


Troubleshoot storage connectivity and performance issues across multi-vendor environments.


Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.


Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.


Collaborate with server, database, and network teams to ensure end-to-end storage efficiency.
