Your Role and Responsibilities
As Windows Administrator, you are responsible for installing, upgrading and configuring Windows across Windows platforms.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting of Windows OS and patches on Windows running system.
Overall technical solution design, development, deployment/cutover, and implementation covering all technical aspects of the Windows OS Platform support lifecycle.
Provide hands-on technical solutions to business challenges & translates them into process/technical solutions.
Design, development and delivery of Windows OS including reports sharing/publishing.
Interpret requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results on Windows.
Work under minimal supervision , product support, devices, methods or procedures.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Hands on experience in Windows server 2008/R2, 2012/R2,2016.
Monitor performance of windows servers and hardware components and maintain a healthy server environment.
Communicate and follow-up with the OEM /service provider for right spares / unit replacement.
Good troubleshooting skills on server performance, hardware and other windows OS related issues is mandatory.
Expertise in using built-in and sysinternals tools such as perfmon, process explorer. etc.
Install software, software upgrades and patches; troubleshoots; and provide technical support.
Hands on experience on basic VM related activities on VMware console/ Vcenter.
Good understanding on storage, backup and virtualization technics and ability to productively communicate with supporting teams
Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and VMware.
Good understanding and hands on experience on windows clustering.
Expertise in PowerShell scripting, find and provide automation solutions wherever applicable.
Install /Rebuild Windows Servers in host and compute environments, creating and managing images for deployment.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Install ,configure and extensive cluster troubleshooting skills.
Develop and execute installation and migration strategies.
Good working knowledge and hands on experience on IIS is an added advantage.
Having good experience in IIS Installation, Configuration, Deploying Applications and configuring websites, Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning and Maintenance on IIS.
Experience on Tibco or any Grid computing experience is an added advantage.
Hands on experience in HPSA, BigFix and Altiris are added advantage.
