What you will be doing

• Install and maintain up- to-date Operational System software, patch levels, firmware, drivers and related program products
• Proficient in infrastructure architecture of large-scale, automated environments
• Responsible for participating in the architecture design of the solution then executing the strategy set by architecture.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of Data center architecture and technology solutions involving Dell/HP/IBM Servers & Blade servers
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through innovation and change.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis while working in a diverse technology environment

What you bring

• Minimum of 2+ plus years of experience in an AIX environment
• Working experience with PowerVM/VIOS, HMC, Virtualization, LPM, NPIV, SAN-attached storage, NIM (Network Installation Manager)
• In-depth knowledge and experience with PowerHA System Mirror administration, configuration, cluster build, storage addition and filesystem administration, cluster nodes, topologies, networks, and heart beating concepts
• Solid understanding of AIX system administration, user administration, file/directory permissions, LVM, maintenance of software and system patches, TCP/IP concepts, NFS, NIS, DNS, storage concepts, performance tuning.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX with System management tools.
• Experience in ITSM Help Desk
• Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
• Controls user access and passwords.
• Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.
• Monitors usage and performance.
• Trains personnel on system usage.
• Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
• Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
• Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.
• Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
