OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: The System Engineering Manager plays a important role within the organization, particularly between the technical development team and the principals (Design Authority/Platforms/Projects) who define the expression of needs. He contributes to designing and delivering a system in line with the Roadmap and the requests of the Program Manager. As System Engineering Manager, and attached to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing all the technical activities of the network architecture of the systems on board trains, defining and validating the ethernet network architecture used to host specific functions and platforms (train command control, passenger information, signaling system, train-ground communications).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Define and agree on the system Roadmap with the help of the Program Manager & internal customers Manage the development team with the help of the Program Manager while ensuring compliance with QCD commitments Ensure technical coordination within the development team and arbitrate technical choices Specify the technical characteristics of the system and ensure that it meets the expected performance requirements as defined in the System Roadmap according to user expectations, Organize System Design Reviews Develop design-to-cost approaches Manage system requirements: ensure the traceability of the system to the software and hardware by ensuring that each requirement has been taken into account by the V&V through the development V cycle Manage the System Configuration, Change Management and deliveries: establish and maintain the various baseline configurations, carry out configuration reviews, manage the Change Control Board (CCB) with the help of the Program Manager, Perform QCD estimates with the help of the Program Manager according to requests (Offers / Projects teams)
PROFILE : M/F graduate of an engineering /Master with a major in Networks and Telecommunications\Electronis\COmputerSciencce, you have a minimum of 12 years' experience in the field of technical management of complex systems, with requirements in terms of Security / constraints on product certification as well as work package management. Broad technical knowledge (System, Hw, V&V, RAM...) as well as an affinity for the Software are essential Knowledge of cybersecurity is a plus. A good ability to synthesize and make decisions in a complex environment are your assets to succeed in this position.
