System Engineering Lead - RF

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineering Lead with a strong background in Radio Frequency (RF) systems. This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of complex RF systems, ensuring their performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities

• Lead the entire system engineering lifecycle for RF-centric projects for Radar, Navigation & Communication Systems, Data Link systems and any other systems which involve RF hardware and associated electronics. Tasks involved are from concept definition and requirements analysis to design, development, integration, and verification.
• Define and document detailed system requirements, specifications, and architecture for RF hardware and software components.
• Conduct trade studies and feasibility analyses to evaluate various RF technologies and design approaches.
• Oversee the design, simulation, and testing of complete RF systems as a whole along with cross functional sub-systems.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, digital designers, software engineers, test engineers, and project managers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the RF system engineering team.
• Develop and implement test plans and procedures for RF system validation and verification.
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to optimize system performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
• Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of system engineering processes and best practices.

• Lead proposals for new product development for RF product/system

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field OR, Master degree in Microwave Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in RF system engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects in the domain of Radar/Communication.
• Deep expertise in RF fundamentals, including antenna theory, RF propagation, modulation techniques, and signal processing.
• Extensive experience with RF circuit design, simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, AWR MWO), and test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
• Strong understanding of AESA radar systems and associated electronics, software

• Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols and standards (e.g., 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
• Proficiency in system-level design and analysis, including link budget analysis, cascaded noise figure, and linearity.
• Experience with requirements management tools and system modeling is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and guide technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., FCC, CE) for RF devices.

• Familiarity with industry standards like DO, MIL
