Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

:-

Lead and mentor

the IT support team, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Manage daily operations

of the IT support department, including scheduling, ticket allocation, and performance monitoring.

Develop and implement

best practices and standardized procedures for IT support, problem resolution, and system maintenance.

Conduct performance reviews

and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Technical Support and System Management

;-

Oversee all IT-related queries

and support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution. This includes hardware, software, network, and security issues.

Manage and maintain

internal servers, network infrastructure, and workstations, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Develop and execute

a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy for all critical data and systems.

Administer user accounts

and permissions across various systems and platforms.

Software and Database Deployment

:-

Responsible for the deployment

of software pages and applications to various environments, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production.

Lead the deployment

of databases to UAT and production servers, ensuring data integrity and successful migration.

Coordinate with development teams

to schedule and perform deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Manage deployments on external servers

, including client servers and servers located on ships, often requiring remote access tools like AnyDesk or file transfer protocols like FTP.

Server Preparation and Maintenance

:-

Prepare and configure servers

for new application installations, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and prerequisites.

Conduct regular server maintenance

, including patching, updates, and performance tuning.

Troubleshoot and resolve

server-side issues, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system failures.

Ensure compliance

with all security policies and protocols for both internal and external servers.

Client and Stakeholder Communication

:-

Act as the primary point of contact

for client-side technical queries and issues related to software deployment and server management.

Provide clear and concise communication

to clients and internal stakeholders regarding the status of deployments, technical issues, and resolution plans.

Document all support activities

, deployment procedures, and technical configurations to build a comprehensive knowledge base for the team and clients.
