System Engineer - BMS Domain

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Define system-level architecture and interfaces for BMS solutions. Work with hardware, software, and validation teams to ensure alignment with system requirements. Lead system integration activities and support issue debugging across modules. Ensure product development compliance with functional safety, regulatory, and OEM-specific standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CFT) to ensure timely project deliverables. Support customer reviews, design validation plans (DVP&R), and participate in field validation if required. Create and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, FMEA, and traceability matrices.

TECHNICAL DETAILS


Strong understanding of Battery Management System (BMS) architecture, functions, and algorithms Experience in developing BMS features such as SoC, SoH, cell balancing, thermal management, fault diagnosis, and safety protocols. Proficient in requirement analysis, system design, and validation of BMS for EV/HEV applications Exposure to CAN/LIN communication protocols and diagnostic tools Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Automotive SPICE processes Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and control design Experience with battery chemistries (Li-ion, LFP, NMC) and cell characterization Strong documentation and reporting skills * Hands-on experience with lab testing, HIL setups, and BMS validation
