Key Responsibilities1. System Administration

Install, configure, and maintain

(Windows) Manage

Active Directory

, users, groups, and permissions Monitor system performance, uptime, and logs Handle

Patch operating systems and applications Virtualization management
2. Network Administration

Design and maintain

LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPNs

Configure and manage

routers, switches, firewalls

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs Ensure network security and access control
3. IT Support & Operations

Provide

technical support

to end users Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices Manage IT assets and inventory Support business applications (email, ERP, CRM, collaboration tools) Coordinate with vendors and service providers
4. Security & Compliance

Implement

cybersecurity best practices

Manage firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection Monitor for security incidents and vulnerabilities Enforce access policies and least-privilege principles Support audits, compliance, and data protection standards
5. Documentation & Planning

Maintain system and network documentation Create IT policies and procedures Plan infrastructure upgrades and capacity needs Support business continuity planning
Required Skills & Knowledge Technical Skills

Windows Server / Linux Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs) Active Directory & Group Policy Virtualization & cloud basics (Azure, AWS, M365) Backup and disaster recovery tools Firewalls and network security Scripting (PowerShell, Bash - an advantage)
Soft Skills

Problem-solving and troubleshooting Communication with non-technical users Time management and multitasking Documentation and attention to detail
