Job Summary

PromptTech Global is looking for a skilled and dependable

System Administrator

to manage and maintain our Windows and Linux server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing servers across on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role includes managing VPS and dedicated servers, web hosting environments, backups, and disaster recovery processes. The System Administrator will also implement security best practices, handle hardware installation and maintenance, and proactively troubleshoot system issues to ensure smooth and secure IT operations at PromptTech Global.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows /Linux servers Manage VPS, dedicated servers, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure etc.) Monitor server performance, uptime, and resource utilization Perform system updates, patching, and upgrades Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and security policies Implement server hardening and security best practices Monitor system logs and detect security threats Manage SSL certificates and secure web services Configure and manage IIS hosting on Windows servers Configure automated backups and restore procedures and Develop disaster recovery plans Perform system hardware installation, maintenance, and repair

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven 2+ experience as a System Administrator or similar role Strong knowledge of

Windows & Linux server administration

Experience in system hardware installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair. Experience with

web servers (Nginx/Apache)

Knowledge of

networking concepts

(DNS, TCP/IP, SSL) Experience with

database administration

Familiarity with

cloud platforms

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
