The System Administrator or System Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical support with advanced system engineering, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing systems across the organization.
Design, configure, and deploy servers, storage, and network solutions.
Implement virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Evaluate system architecture and suggest improvements for performance and reliability.
2. System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and enterprise applications.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user account setups.
Monitor system performance, uptime, and security logs.
Maintain backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and failover mechanisms.
3. Network Administration
Manage LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and VPN configurations.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
Implement and maintain network security policies and monitoring tools.
4. Cloud & Virtualization
Support cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Manage cloud resources, identity management, and security configurations.
Deploy and maintain virtual machines, containers, and cloud-based applications.
5. IT Security & Compliance
Ensure systems are patched, updated, and protected against vulnerabilities.
Implement and monitor firewall policies, antivirus, and endpoint security.
Support compliance with company IT policies, audits, and data protection standards.
6. Technical Support & Operations
Provide Level 2/3 technical support to users and internal teams.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement, AMC, and technical services.
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain documentation for system configurations, SOPs, inventory, and incident logs.
Prepare reports on system health, performance metrics, and IT infrastructure status.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in system administration and/or IT infrastructure engineering.
Strong understanding of Windows/Linux server environments.
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Proficiency in network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, and switches.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.
