Job Description

Provide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMware ESX environments

Configure and optimize the virtual infrastructure

Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs

Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements

Provide security compliance under relevant security policies

Liaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administrators

Provide support and advice to projects requiring IT platforms support;

Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring

Proactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:

Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes; 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMware ESX environments, and Multiple data centers

In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2.

Manage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure

Manage & Maintain VMware infrastructure

In depth knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file services

Responsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by coordinating with Data centre engineers.

Identify issues is Windows environment proactively.

Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in Windows

Health check of Windows environment

Responsible for managing McAfee ePO server & managing latest DAT versions on all client systems

Responsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM tools

Responsible for building & hardening windows servers

Analyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidents

Manage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS shares

SQL-Development Team/ Reports & Format Preparation

Key Skill/ Knowledge: (Required) :

Install, Configure & manage.

Expert knowledge on Virtualization: VMWare, Microsoft System Center HyperV Administration.

Expert Knowledge on Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools. Including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.

Knowledge of TCPIP, DHCP, DNS and Troubleshooting.

Knowledge on TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, Power shell scripting.

Knowledge of AD group policies.

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Computer Applications,Bachelor of Science in Information Technology,Bachelor of Technology or related field.
