Job Description

The System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. This includes servers, networks, operating systems, and user devices. The role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, system upgrades, and implementing IT best practices to support business continuity and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Administration:

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and networks. Perform regular system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and systems

Network & Security Management:

Maintain firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Implement and monitor security measures, including antivirus protection, patch management, and backup policies. Conduct periodic audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Server & Cloud Management:

Manage on-premise and cloud-based servers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Plan and execute system updates, migrations, and backups. Monitor system capacity and performance, recommending upgrades as needed.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:

Implement and test disaster recovery plans and data backup strategies. Ensure compliance with organizational IT and data protection policies.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

Coordinate with software, security, and network teams for system integration and improvement projects. Develop and maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Research and recommend innovative, cost-effective system improvements.
