SUMMARY OF ROLE
Work as MES Proposal engineer on medium to large proposals. Understand customer requirements and define best suitable technical solution. Take ownership of the solution and deliver proposal within defined time period.
Candidate is expected to have sound knowledge of Level-2 (DCS, PLCs, SCADA) systems and a good proposal acumen. Knowledge of Level-3 systems (MOMs,MES) will be preferred. This role requires customer focus, sound judgment, decision making and effective communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing techno-commercial solutions for MES pursuits for Asia Pacific, Europe and North America geographies.
• Analyze RFI, RFQ (Specifications), User Requirements (URS) and other input documents issued by customer.
• Prepare technical queries and respond to technical queries raised by customer, vendor.
• Attend workshops, customer meetings for requirement gathering.
• Work closely with Sales and Operations team for technical kick off meetings, defining proposal/execution strategy and providing solutions.
• Estimation inline with RFQ requirements.
• Size system hardware and prepare system Architechture.
• Prepare table of compliance for various customer specifications.
• Techno commercial meetings with customer, project specific solution presentation to respective stakeholders.
• Assist Proposal manager/Operations Manager to define execution strategy for the proposal.
• Prepare commercial summary for the offering in customer format (as and when required)
• Co-ordinate with Procurement teams and if required, work with vendors for Techno commercial offers as part of solution requirements.
  

• Sound knowledge of automation systems, third party interfaces, virtualisation and cyber security. MES knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of project life cycle from concept to commissioning. Experience in the Life Sciences domain preferred.
• Understanding customer needs with clearly defined scope boundary and translating them into a robust technical solution.
• Effective presentation and communication skills.
• Able to work in cross functional teams, Proposals, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Legal teams located remotely.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as independent working ability.
• Able to analyze technical capabilities of system and its impact on solution.
• Able to do multi-tasking and set priorities within set of tasks.
  

• Degree in Engineering ( Electronics / Instrumentation)
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Min 4 - 6 years experience in automation, MES related solutions (Life Sciences industry background preferred)
