Job description:
Sybase experience:-
Strong knowledge in Sybase ASE architecture concepts
Expertise in Installation, configuration, upgrades & EBF patching , Performance tuning ,Query optimization and Backup & Recovery including point in time recovery
Monitoring of system health and performance, memory management , to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Expertise in Sybase Replication server installation and administration.
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for ASE Business Suite.
Experience on maintenance activities like reorg, update statistics, Database consistency check(dbcc) and fixes.
Memory management: ASE DB memory configuration, TEMP DB memory full issues, Log Segment and Default segment extensions
User management : Creating roles, users, privileges, password management, User migration during upgradation.
Troubleshooting knowledge on deadlocks, blockage, Cache issues, R3Trans issues, log segment issues
Troubleshooting knowledge on Linux and AIX environment
Database Security implementations & compliance
Initiate and lead project deliverables; drive a high sense of urgency for risk reduction
Set the technical direction through the definition and implementation of standards, technical roadmaps, processes and control documents
Develop strategic and tactical solutions for the team.
