Overview:

Switch NXT Testers - Cards for Banking Project

Switch Tester

with strong expertise in

card-based payment systems

and

transaction switch platforms

such as

Switch NXT

or

FIS

Responsibilities:
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of card transaction switches (Switch NXT, FIS). Validate transaction routing and switching across POS, ATM, e-commerce, and other channels. Conduct testing for debit/credit/prepaid card flows including ISO8583 message validation. Design and execute test scenarios for online and batch transaction processing. Utilize simulators for POS/ATM testing and analyze host and acquirer responses. Validate authorization, clearing, and settlement flows. Raise and track defects, work with developers to resolve issues. Perform certification and compliance testing with card networks (Visa, MasterCard, etc.). Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of switch applications. Participate in UAT and support go-live activities.

Essential skills:
Hands-on experience with

Switch NXT

or

FIS (IST/Connex)

platforms (must-have). Strong understanding of

ISO8583 messaging format

. Familiar with

end-to-end card transaction lifecycle

- Authorization, Clearing, and Settlement. Experience with tools like

POS simulators

,

ATM test tools

,

Host simulators

. Knowledge of card schemes (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay) and transaction types.

Desired skills:
Good exposure to defect management and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM). Ability to analyze logs and trace issues in switch environments. Strong communication and coordination skills.

Experience:

7+ years of experience in

cards & payments domain

with

switch testing experience
