Role Objective

To provide high-quality swim instruction and coaching to a diverse range of participants (from children aged 5+ to professional athletes) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and the values of Heartfulness.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Training:

Design and execute structured training programs for beginners, intermediate, and advanced swimmers. Provide specialized coaching for competitive athletes if required.

Safety & Lifeguarding:

Ensure the 25m/30m temperature-controlled pool is a safe environment. Actively monitor swimmers to prevent accidents and be prepared to perform life-saving maneuvers or first aid.

Facility Management:

Monitor pool water chemistry (pH and chlorine levels) and cleanliness. Ensure all swimmers adhere to pool etiquette (showering before entry, appropriate attire).

Member Engagement:

Conduct "Coach-led" sessions for academy members and residents of Kanha Shanti Vanam. Provide feedback and progress reports to parents and students.

Holistic Integration:

Align coaching methods with the Heartfulness spirit--promoting focus, resilience, and inner balance alongside physical stamina.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Certification:

Valid Swimming Coach Certification from a recognized body (e.g., NIS, ASCA, or equivalent).

Lifesaving Skills:

Current Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certification is mandatory.

Experience:

Proven experience in coaching various age groups, particularly children and competitive squads.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of stroke mechanics, breathing techniques, and hydrodynamics.

Communication:

Proficiency in English and a local language (Telugu/Hindi) is highly preferred to interact with the diverse community at Kanha.
