We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Swimming Coach with demonstrated expertise in aquatic training methodologies and student-
centered coaching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a progressive swimming program aligned with the CBSE Physical Education framework, catering to students from Grade 1 through Grade 8. The role emphasizes technical skill development, motor coordination, aerobic conditioning, and safety compliance, while promoting lifelong aquatic literacy and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement developmentally appropriate swimming curricula for primary and middle school students, in line with CBSE guidelines and sports education best practices.
Conduct stroke technique instruction, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, with attention to biomechanics, body alignment, and hydrodynamics.
Execute structured training sessions focusing on fundamental aquatic skills, endurance, breath control, and water confidence.
Ensure strict adherence to aquatic safety protocols, including pool supervision, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
Administer skill assessments and performance evaluations using standardized benchmarks and maintain records of individual progress and learning outcomes.
Identify, train, and mentor students with potential for competitive swimming, facilitating their participation in inter-house, inter-school, and CBSE cluster-level competitions.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education / Sports Science / Kinesiology or equivalent (preferred).
National Institute of Sports (NIS) certification, ASCA Level 1/2, or equivalent professional coaching qualification in swimming. ( Preferrable ).
Certified in CPR, First Aid, and lifesaving techniques by a recognized authority (e.g., RLSS, AUSTSWIM, or similar).
Minimum 2-4 years of coaching experience, preferably in a CBSE/ICSE school environment or recognized sports academy.
Demonstrated knowledge of youth physiology, motor skill acquisition, and age-appropriate aquatic pedagogy.
