Role Profile Looking to hire a Functional Test Analyst, the role spans definition of low-level business functional tests through to mid-level system integration tests. The successful candidate will have to co-ordinate with Operations Change Business Analysis team, Development teams, and Project managers, as well as testing teams. The successful candidate will have an excellent QA background with experience of a variety of test design techniques, technologies and have business domain expertise and experience of delivery in complex fast moving environments. Excellent communication skills will be vital in this role.The role will report to the Test Manager and will be responsible for mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities Develop test scenarios and cases from business requirements ensuring there is traceability back to all requirements. Work with the Business Analysis to qualify the requirements and if identified, track and monitor gaps Developan in depth knowledge of the relevant business concepts and financial instruments within the product stream Manage test traceability from Business Requirements Manage test case sign-off with Business Analysts Prepare the test data. Maintenance and execution of tests, recording of results and undertaking defect fix re-testing, integration and regression testing. For small projects draft simple test approaches Prepare the test data once the test cases are signed off Work with the development and environment support team to secure and smoke test the test environments Execute test cases and potentially coordinate with the off shore test eam to hand over test execution to them Identify, qualify, raise and follow-up on defects found in testing Working with the technical teams to help resolve issues. Performing results analysis. Work to agreed timescales. Implementing test plans to deliver test phases on time. Candidate Profile / Key Skills Extensive Functional testing experience in Investment Banking IT, preparing and executing functional tests on a MUREX platform. Extensive experience using structured test analysis techniques Working knowledge of investment banking products - OTC Derivatives, Listed Derivatives, FX, Equity, Fixed Income Experience of requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation Ability to perform Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functional Testing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and resolving issues Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to mentor and assist junior test team members Perform knowledge sharing workshops on specialist functional areas Experience The ideal candidate will have Bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science preferred ISEB or ISTQB testing qualification preferred Test Analyst developing test strategy and process flows, for at least 2 large IT projects Test analysis techniques Test execution using GUIs and APIs Test execution on the Murex Platform Test automation Investment banking testing Results Analysis Defect Management Excellent teamwork and mentoring skills Ability to work with and interact with other departments throughout the organization At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
