What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting to ECP's CEO, the SVP of Technology will be responsible for the end-to-end technology platform for Evolent Care Partners. Core responsibilities are as follows:

Product Development -

Responsible for overseeing daily operations and ongoing development of ECP's four core applications, which are used by our clinical team, performance team, partner practice teams, and physician network to drive results in value-based care

Identify and execute on opportunities to refactor applications & infrastructure to improve performance, decrease operational cost, and/or accelerate innovation

Oversee delivery of features and enhancements that drive measurable revenue and business scalability

Build culture and processes that support high performance, reliable execution, and continuous improvement on engineering teams

Information, Security, Infrastructure, & Operations -

Oversee core claims & clinical databases including timely, accurate data loading and integration

Identify and execute on opportunities to streamline or improve claims & clinical databases to improve performance and/or decrease operational cost

Oversee internal IT operations including information security, employee hardware/software, and employee support

Migration Towards Independence -

Develop multi-year plan for ECP to operate on an independent, self-sufficient technology platform

Consider & discuss multiple approaches that prioritize different balances of speed, complexity, operational cost, and potential disruptions or risks

Execute against the agreed-upon plan without major delays, downtime, or unforeseen risks

Talent & Culture -

Identify, recruit, motivate, lead, and retain exceptional engineering talent to create high-performing and loyal teams across US and India

Cultivate future leaders by developing and empowering talent at all levels

Establish well-informed budget projections across all technology functions; manage within established budgets

Integrate deeply into ECP's team and culture; partner closely with Transformation, Operations, and Growth teams to receive feedback and input on the business requirements for our technology

Act as a visible and respected champion of ECP's values and Charter

The Experience We Require:

Outstanding, proven aptitude at setting technology strategy based on strategic business context, business opportunities, & business risks

Experience in a high-level leadership role overseeing large and diverse engineering and operations teams, preferably spanning international borders

Deep, credible experience across diverse technology dimensions (front end, backend, data, dev ops)

Preference for lean, multi-functional organizations that move nimbly and prioritize cross-training over specialized silos

Understanding of budgets and business-planning; track record of managing to a budget

Experience overseeing platform redesign and/or major migrations

Deep healthcare technology experience, preferably with applications built on claims and clinical data, EMR applications, and reporting applications

Experience delegating major areas to highly empowered leaders and achieving outstanding performance

Technical Requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
