Your responsibilities include:

Experience in Business Development and a proven track record of client conversion. Working with the sustainability strategy team to connect artisan communities and innovative sustainable materials with global markets. Storytelling impact through compelling presentations and reports for brands, government bodies, foundations, and other stakeholders. Engaging and onboarding global fashion brands and foundations for our impact reporting and ethical sourcing services.

During your work day, you will:



1. Have daily communication with quality, design, and sourcing teams of international buyers.

2. Lead training and capacity-building initiatives for artisan communities and source from certified organic mills to create collections aligned with buyer needs and sustainability goals.

3. Research the latest innovations in sustainability solutions, community development, and grant opportunities. Stay informed on global fashion and sustainability trends to drive innovation and ensure alignment with buyer expectations.

4. Act as a sustainability solutions partner for buyers, offering guidance on responsible materials, eco-friendly alternatives, and traceable supply chains while adhering fully to company processes and standards.

5. Create compelling catalogs and presentations for buyers, NGOs, impact organizations, and media platforms to effectively showcase our capabilities and impact.

6. Manage a diverse workflow that includes grant development, artisan capacity building, field research, impact reporting, and other sustainability-driven innovations.

Experience and Skills:



Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to manage a high daily email volume and coordinate across multiple teams.

Proficient in Google Workspace (G Suite) and other professional communication and documentation tools.

Highly organized with strong WIP tracking, follow-up, and multitasking abilities.

Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to learn and apply sustainability principles quickly on the job.

6-10 years of experience working in a buying office or directly managing international buyer accounts at a factory, artisan organization, sustainability consultancy, impact reporting organization, or NGO is required.

Preference will be given to candidates experienced in:



Partnering with artisan communities and sustainable mills

Handling projects for/ with NGOs, Impact organizations, Government bodies, and other stakeholders.

Following the company processes seamlessly is a must.

Education:



A degree in apparel merchandising or apparel design, communication design, environmental studies, or similar.

Knowledge of sustainable and artisan-made fabrics and environmental and social impact is highly preferred.
