About the Job

At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do. We are building up our Sustainability practice, to drive our end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, including Client Solutions, Strategy Consulting, Performance & Design, and Operations.

This role is embedded in the Sustainability Consulting team, where you will work with our clients to help them think through their sustainability strategies, including what reporting they require and what certification they need. You will support green building consulting services, performing operational and embodied carbon assessment, review energy audits, deliver ESD advice and prepare green building certification submissions. Work in this career pathway typically require an engineering degree and/ or Architecture with energy and engineering orientation as you will be involved in providing engineering related sustainability consulting. The role requires a passion for sustainability and gives professional the opportunity to develop their careers as a Sustainability consultant. While based in Bangalore, the role will be integral to our regional sustainability team and delivering sustainability projects across the region.

Duties & responsibilities

What this job involves

This role aims to work with JLL's global and local occupier, investor and base builder clients to deliver upon their Sustainability ambitions. This role is customer facing, executive facing, and team oriented. The role will be centred around the following key elements:



Consulting work

Work closely with Sustainability Consulting team in Australia and perform gap assessments and facilitation work related to Greenstar/ LEED/ WELL or other Certification Preparation of LCA studies addressing embodied carbon, net zero strategic consulting work Support Sustainability Audits or other sustainability Activities Join client connections, pitches etc. to provide sustainability positioning and market differentiation Create a pool of case studies, client success stories, testimonials, research and sales material which can be used by the team.

Support Green Building and WELL certification projects Embodied carbon Assessments Decarbonisation & Net Zero pathway Assessments GHG Emission Reporting Get conversant with net zero and sustainability concepts Willingness to work across multi-countries & time zones

Background and Experience

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture or built environment-related degree. 3-to-8-year experience in sustainability Preferably LEED Accredited professional and/or WELL AP, familiarity with any other regional/global certification, in particular Green Star, is a plus Experience planning and managing multi-stakeholder projects, including the ability to steer and coordinate internal stakeholders, develop engagement materials and plans, and ability to drive stakeholder meetings/processes to deliver results.

Proficiency in green building certification processes and standards (e.g., LEED, WELL, Greenstar) including assessment, design and construction coordination

Understands mechanical and electrical equipment, controls, and systems used in all types of buildings

Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ)

Understands the impact of design elements on indoor air quality, comfort, lighting

Technical Writing

Gathers and collates technical data, writes technical reports, produces documents to communicate technical evaluations and communicates information clearly and unambiguously

CRE & Built Environment Basics

Requires a general level of understanding, knowledge and skills relating to issues and priorities for corporate real estate and build environments

Data Management & Analytics

Ability to manage, analyze, and visualize sustainability data (energy, water, waste, carbon) to derive insights and track performance against targets. Proficiency with data tools like Microsoft Excel is essential

Active Listening

Makes the effort to hear the words another person is saying and interpret & understand the complete message that is being communicated

Building Trust

Interacts with people in ways that build confidence in one's intentions and those of the organisation as a whole

Runs energy calculations and produce business cases for all energy and water conservation opportunities and consolidates energy and water data, analyze trends, set baselines, and identify anomalies and opportunities

Develops net zero carbon strategies suitable for application to varied client situations and circumstances

ESG & Reporting Frameworks

Possesses knowledge of key sustainability reporting standards and benchmarks like GRESB, GRI, TCFD, and an understanding of emerging sustainability-linked regulations
