Tricon is seeking a Sustainability Analyst/Coordinator to be based at Tricon's Mumbai Office.

About this role:





As the Sustainability Analyst/Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company's commitment to social and environmental responsibility. You will be responsible for coordinating various sustainability programs and initiatives, with a primary focus on social investment programs, responsible sourcing, sustainability compliance and regulations, and sustainability data collection and reporting, with responsibilities both globally and in India.

Responsibilities:





Social Investment Programs:

+ Support Tricon's social investment strategy to contribute to community efforts toward zero waste, zero emissions, and zero inequality.

+ Develop, monitor, and support implementation of Tricon's CSR initiatives in India that align with our sustainability goals.

+ Collaborate with community organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for social impact projects and partnerships.

+ Assess capacity of community investment partners locally.

+ Measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of social investment programs, making recommendations for improvements and communicating results.
+ Organize employee engagement volunteer and fundraising efforts in India in collaboration with Human Resources and local management.
Responsible Sourcing:
+ Help drive Tricon's responsible sourcing program globally.

+ Coordinate supplier EcoVadis assessments, audit requests and follow-up, and corrective action plans.

+ Support the supplier incentive program for product carbon footprint.

+ Manage data, progress, KPIs, and reporting for responsible sourcing.
+ Collaborate with Compliance team on human rights and environmental due diligence efforts, including responding to customer questionnaires and requesting, reviewing, and organizing supplier data and information.

+ Help assess supplier performance and opportunities for improvement or collaboration.
Sustainability Compliance & Regulations

+ Stay up-to-date with local, national, and international sustainability regulations and standards.

+ Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to help ensure company-wide compliance with relevant sustainability laws and regulations.

+ Support audits and assessments and maintain appropriate documentation.
Sustainability Data Collection and Reporting:

+ Work with global offices to collect sustainability data for quarterly and annual reporting.

+ Ensure data accuracy and quality controls for external disclosures.

+ Contribute to product carbon footprint calculations.

+ Assist with data collection, data analysis, verification, quality management, and other tasks for sustainability systems and digital tools.
Participate in External Collaborations:
+ Promote value chain sustainability efforts in India.
+ Actively participating in workstreams and meetings with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and Together for Sustainability.

Qualifications:





Undergraduate degree in anthropology, environmental studies, development economics, political science, international studies, or similar. Master's degree in international development, sustainability, or similar field preferred. Demonstrated track record in sustainability, such as work, volunteer, or academic/research experience with environmental and social impact programs. Experience with partnership and program development. Strong commitment to environmental and social impact.

Sustainability Knowledge and Skills:



Familiarity with India CSR requirements. Knowledge of sustainability standards and frameworks (e.g. GRI, CSRD, IFC Performance Standards, UN SDGs). Working knowledge of GHG Protocol and willingness to learn product carbon footprint standards from ISO 14067, WBCSD, and Together for Sustainability. Working knowledge of or willingness to learn human rights frameworks and due diligence processes.

Ability and flexibility to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally, collaborating globally across the business. Strategic thinking, able to see the big picture, but also detail and action-oriented. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. * Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills.
