Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese dishes
Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients, especially seafood
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the sushi station
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Manage food portioning and minimize wastage
Assist in menu planning and new dish creation
Work efficiently during busy service hours
Coordinate with kitchen staff and management
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
Knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients
Strong knife handling and presentation skills
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure
Team player with a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary certification (a plus)
Experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen
Knowledge of modern sushi styles is an advantage
