The Building Surveyor will take site measurements, prepare layouts, check boundary accuracy, and provide key data to support construction work. The role requires knowledge of surveying tools, building regulations, and construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
:
Conduct land and building surveys using total stations, GPS, levels, and other surveying tools.
Establish and verify site boundaries, levels, and alignments for construction work.
Interpret architectural and structural drawings and set out works accordingly.
Ensure accurate measurements and documentation of existing structures and construction progress.
Prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
Monitor and document deviations from design during construction.
Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and local authorities.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, zoning regulations, and building codes.
Maintain records and provide survey data for quantity estimation and billing.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
:
? Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
? 3-5 years of experience in surveying for building or infrastructure projects.
? Certification in land surveying or construction surveying (preferred).
